which are largely plein air, however she does have a number of colorful
still life's which she has created in her Cornville Arizona studio.
Many of Barbara's art work is
created near her home in beautiful Northern Arizona near the red rocks of
Sedona. However she travels throughout the year in order to add
variety to her intensely vibrant and often alluringly serene works of art.

In late spring of 2007 while on a
painting trip with Colorado Plein Air Painters a thought come to me.
Why doesn't Arizona have a state-wide plein air group? Thus the seed
was sown. Barbara contacted other artists with the idea and Arizona
Plein Air Painters was born.
The meetings for Arizona Plein Air Painters were initially held at the
Donahue Ranch during which time the groundwork was laid, the mission
statement written and the by-laws established. Barbara was elected
treasurer of APAP. Their first highly successful show was held in
February of 2008 and memberships are currently being accepted.
